The start of 2013 included Devin's new position with Hexcel in Casa Grande. His job with M3 engineering had him in Casa Grande for the last 2.5 years but it was a contract position that was set to expire. We knew he was going to be transferred to another location, it was just a matter of time. As 2012 wound down he was offered a permanent position with Hexcel. As he gave his notice to M3 we learned his next location would have probably meant traveling for extended amounts of time. The next location would have been Nevada. Feww! I'm so glad we are being watched over and guided to where we need to be as a family. I spent the beginning of 2013 super pregnant. The thought of packing up and moving our house while being 9 months pregnant, or 1 month into a new baby didn't appeal. Tyce had a birthday in March, Baby Evie Zelda was born in April, and the majority of the summer was spent cooped up inside nursing a wee-one and trying to stay out of the heat. Just as the temperatures peaked and miss Evie became a bit less grub-like, The thought of moving to Casa Grande finally began to sound like an option. ( It also didn't hurt that house prices in Mesa were finally up a little. ) September was packing and cleaning and showing. October was negotiating and compromising and searching. November was closing and offering and moving. Just before Halloween we moved in with Grandma and Grandpa Dopp. We spent 3 weeks there, then spent another 3 weeks at Grandma and Grandpa Lovell's house. We put our house into storage in between, then on December 7 we finally moved out to Casa Grande. So far we love the new house and new location. It is an hour away from our old house and the Grandparents but we are willing to make the trek. Devin has no more commute which means we get to see him for more time during the day. For me, this means win because the kids love to spend time with their daddy. Evie is 8 months today and growing and growing. She just had her first christmas and was so good. She loved hanging out with family and getting tons of attention. Tyce had a great christmas as well and made out like a bandit. He got pirate toys galore and hasn't stopped playing for 2 days. I got a computer, yay! Which is going to make life a billion times easier. Turns out it is nearly impossible to blog, pay bills, create relief society hand outs, sell a house, and buy a house using only my smart phone.
